FEES
JKPC accepts private retainers and Legal Aid certificates. If you intend to privately retain JKPC Law, we offer a few options:
Hourly Rate
The retainer will be based on an hourly rate for the work. A legal assistant, law-student or paralegal may also assist me with some procedural issues in the case ? with a lower hourly rate.
Block Fees
A block fee will cover all of the work agreed upon in the retainer. The block fee will depend on the charges, the circumstances, and the degree of complexity of the case, and will be discussed with you at your initial consultation.

ABOUT JKPC
Julianna is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science and a minor in French. Before attending law school, she pursued graduate studies at the University of Western Ontario and received a Masters of Arts in Political Science. Also a distinguished graduate from the London School of Economics, she earned a Masters of Social Science with a focus on Social Policy. She later received her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa and decided to practice exclusively in the field of criminal law. She articled and continued on as a junior associate at the Alan D. Gold Professional Corporation, eventually joining the firm as an associate lawyer. She was then granted with the valuable opportunity to dissect and understand the inner judicial proceedings in a vast array of contexts from a qualified perspective under the mentorship of well-respected and prominent lawyer Alan D. Gold.
Julianna is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, Criminal Lawyers Association, Federation for Asian Canadian Lawyers and is in good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada. She was born in Paris, France and is educated in both French and English. She is able to serve clients and interact fluently in English, French, and Cantonese along with a rudimentary understanding of Mandarin, Vietnamese and Spanish. A firm believer in the protection of civil liberties from an early age, Julianna made the decision to launch her own practice. She now practices in the areas of criminal, regulatory, and disciplinary proceedings with a strong emphasis on trial litigation. Regardless of the context of the case or whether the client is an individual or corporation, Julianna can faithfully promise that your particular situation will be met with a certain level of concentrated effort and dedication that will definitely exceed all expectations.
